Terms & Conditions

A Legal Disclaimer

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern appointments, purchases, website use, and vehicle-detailing services provided by Tin’s Garage LLC (“Tin’s Garage,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

By scheduling an appointment, approving a quote, authorizing us to begin work, or using our services, you agree to these Terms and our applicable policies

1. Services

Tin’s Garage provides mobile and location-based automotive appearance services, which may include:

  • Exterior washing and detailing

  • Interior cleaning and detailing

  • Paint decontamination

  • Paint correction and polishing

  • Wax, sealant, and ceramic protection

  • Wheel, tire, glass, trim, upholstery, leather, and related vehicle-care services

  • Other services specifically described in an estimate or service authorization

Available services, prices, inclusions, estimated completion times, and service areas may change.

2. Appointments and Service Requests

Appointments may be requested through our website, Calendly, telephone, text message, email, social media, or another approved method.

Submitting an appointment request does not guarantee availability. Tin’s Garage may accept, decline, reschedule, or request additional information before confirming an appointment.

Customers must provide complete and accurate information regarding:

  • Vehicle year, make, and model

  • Vehicle size and type

  • Vehicle condition

  • Requested services

  • Service address

  • Access instructions

  • Known damage or special concerns

  • Any other information reasonably needed to evaluate or perform the service

We may request photographs or videos before confirming an estimated price or appointment.

3. Estimates and Final Pricing

Prices displayed on our website or booking pages may be starting prices or estimates based on a vehicle of ordinary size and condition.

Before work begins, Tin’s Garage will conduct an initial inspection of the vehicle and discuss the service scope with the customer. We may adjust the estimated price based on the vehicle’s actual:

  • Size or configuration

  • Cleanliness and overall condition

  • Amount of pet hair, sand, mud, trash, staining, spills, or contamination

  • Paint condition

  • Amount of labor reasonably required

  • Requested add-ons or service changes

  • Special materials, equipment, or treatment required

The final price will be presented to the customer for approval before work begins.

Once the customer approves the final price and service scope, that price is final for the agreed work. Tin’s Garage will not add charges without the customer’s approval.

If a significant concealed, unsafe, or previously undisclosed condition is discovered after work begins, we may pause the service and discuss available options. The customer may approve a revised scope and price or decline the additional work.

4. Customer Authorization

By approving the service, the customer confirms that they:

  • Own the vehicle or have the owner’s permission to authorize the work

  • Have authority to enter into this agreement

  • Approve the agreed services and final price

  • Authorize Tin’s Garage to access the vehicle’s interior, exterior, trunk, cargo areas, hood, doors, windows, seats, and controls as reasonably necessary

  • Authorize reasonable movement of the vehicle within the service location when necessary to perform the work

  • Have disclosed known conditions that could affect the service

The customer must provide working keys or access credentials when reasonably necessary.

5. Required Vehicle Disclosures

Before service begins, the customer must disclose any known:

  • Ceramic coating, wax, sealant, or other paint protection

  • Paint-protection film or vinyl wrap

  • Repainted, repaired, or refinished panels

  • Touch-up paint or bodywork

  • Loose, cracked, damaged, or aftermarket trim

  • Damaged clear coat or failing paint

  • Rust, corrosion, oxidation, or peeling

  • Tinted windows or aftermarket glass film

  • Water leaks or weather-seal problems

  • Electrical, battery, window, lock, seat, trunk, or convertible-top problems

  • Loose interior panels, buttons, switches, screens, vents, or accessories

  • Previously repaired upholstery, leather, fabric, or carpet

  • Aftermarket electronics or modifications

  • Mechanical or safety concerns

  • Biohazards, pests, mold, bodily fluids, needles, chemicals, or dangerous materials

Failure to disclose a known condition may affect the results of the service and Tin’s Garage’s ability to evaluate whether any later-reported issue was related to our work.

6. Service Location and Electricity

The customer must provide a service location that is:

  • Legal and safe for mobile detailing

  • Reasonably level and accessible

  • Free from dangerous traffic or obstructions

  • Large enough for our equipment and safe movement around the vehicle

  • Permitted by the property owner, landlord, business, homeowners’ association, or parking facility where applicable

The customer must provide access to a safe, working electrical outlet within a reasonable distance of the vehicle unless Tin’s Garage agrees otherwise in advance.

Tin’s Garage generally provides the water, chemicals, tools, and detailing equipment necessary to perform the agreed service.

If suitable electricity, vehicle access, parking, or permission is unavailable, the appointment may need to be delayed, relocated, shortened, or rescheduled.

7. Personal Belongings

Customers should remove all valuables, money, documents, electronics, medications, firearms, fragile items, child seats, and other personal property before the appointment.

If belongings remain inside the vehicle, Tin’s Garage may move them as reasonably necessary to perform the service.

When practical, loose belongings may be organized together and placed in a sealed bag or designated area for return to the customer. Tin’s Garage does not guarantee that every item will be individually sorted or returned to its original location.

Tin’s Garage is not responsible for personal property that was not removed before service unless the loss or damage resulted from our failure to exercise reasonable care.

We may decline to move or handle items that appear dangerous, illegal, unsanitary, confidential, unusually valuable, or inappropriate.

8. Child Seats and Safety Equipment

For safety and liability reasons, Tin’s Garage may decline to remove or reinstall child safety seats.

When a child seat must be removed to complete the requested service, the customer is responsible for removing and correctly reinstalling it according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

Tin’s Garage is not responsible for confirming that a child seat, restraint, or other safety device has been correctly installed.

9. Pre-Existing Damage and Vehicle Condition

Vehicles may contain pre-existing damage or deterioration that is hidden by dirt, debris, oxidation, poor lighting, prior repairs, or personal belongings.

Pre-existing conditions may include:

  • Scratches, chips, dents, and cracks

  • Clear-coat failure

  • Peeling, fading, or oxidized paint

  • Rust or corrosion

  • Loose trim, badges, moldings, or seals

  • Cracked or brittle plastic

  • Damaged wheels

  • Worn leather, fabric, carpet, or upholstery

  • Failing adhesive

  • Water intrusion

  • Electrical or mechanical defects

  • Damage from prior cleaning, repairs, or modifications

Cleaning may make pre-existing defects more visible. Tin’s Garage is not responsible for pre-existing damage, ordinary wear, deterioration, defective materials, prior improper repairs, or conditions that were not caused by our work.

We may document the vehicle’s condition with photographs, videos, notes, or an inspection report before, during, or after service.

10. Delicate, Damaged, and Aftermarket Components

Older, damaged, repainted, modified, or aftermarket materials may react unpredictably to normal detailing procedures.

This may include:

  • Repainted panels

  • Touch-up paint

  • Paint-protection film

  • Vinyl wraps and decals

  • Window tint

  • Emblems and badges

  • Aftermarket wheels

  • Carbon-fiber components

  • Alcantara, suede, or specialty upholstery

  • Headliners

  • Piano-black trim

  • Screens and electronic controls

  • Previously repaired leather or fabric

Tin’s Garage may modify, limit, or decline a procedure when we believe a component cannot be safely cleaned or corrected.

The customer understands that fragile or deteriorated components may fail during reasonable cleaning even when ordinary care is used.

11. Service Results and Limitations

Tin’s Garage will perform the agreed services using professional judgment and reasonable care. However, detailing results depend on the vehicle’s age, materials, condition, prior maintenance, prior repairs, and the nature of the defect or contamination.

We do not guarantee complete removal of:

  • Stains

  • Odors

  • Pet hair

  • Sand

  • Mold

  • Smoke residue

  • Water spots

  • Tree sap

  • Bird-dropping etching

  • Scratches

  • Swirls

  • Oxidation

  • Paint defects

  • Chemical staining

  • Biological contamination

  • Permanent discoloration

Some stains, scratches, odors, etching, fading, and material damage may be permanent or may require services beyond the original appointment.

A service described as a “refresh,” “maintenance detail,” or similar term is not intended to produce the same results as a deep detail, restoration, paint correction, or replacement of damaged materials.

12. Paint Correction and Polishing

Paint correction and polishing improve the appearance of paint by removing or reducing a limited amount of surface material.

Results depend on:

  • Paint type and thickness

  • Remaining clear coat

  • Previous polishing or bodywork

  • Depth of scratches and defects

  • Repainted or repaired areas

  • Overall paint condition

Not every defect can be safely removed. Tin’s Garage may leave deeper defects in place when further correction could unreasonably compromise the paint or clear coat.

Paint correction does not repair missing paint, deep scratches, rock chips, dents, rust, cracking, or clear-coat failure.

13. Ceramic Coatings and Protective Products

The performance and durability of ceramic coatings, waxes, sealants, dressings, and other protective products depend on factors outside Tin’s Garage’s control, including:

  • Vehicle storage

  • Weather exposure

  • Washing methods

  • Water quality

  • Driving conditions

  • Mileage

  • Environmental contamination

  • Chemical exposure

  • Maintenance frequency

Any durability period stated for a product is an estimate or manufacturer-rated potential lifespan, not a guarantee that the product will perform for that exact period under every condition.

Customers are responsible for following all aftercare and maintenance instructions.

Automatic brush washes, improper chemicals, abrasion, neglect, collision damage, polishing, bodywork, and environmental exposure may reduce or remove protective products.

14. Weather and Environmental Conditions

Mobile detailing is affected by weather, temperature, wind, rain, smoke, poor air quality, lighting, water restrictions, and other environmental conditions.

Tin’s Garage may delay, relocate, modify, pause, or reschedule a service when conditions may:

  • Affect customer or worker safety

  • Prevent satisfactory results

  • Interfere with product application or curing

  • Damage equipment

  • Violate property rules or local requirements

Weather-related decisions will be made using reasonable professional judgment.

15. Appointment Times and Completion Estimates

Arrival and completion times are estimates.

Timing may be affected by:

  • Traffic

  • Weather

  • Vehicle condition

  • Prior appointments

  • Equipment issues

  • Customer-requested changes

  • Unexpected contamination or defects

  • Safety or access concerns

Tin’s Garage will make reasonable efforts to communicate significant delays. Customers should not schedule time-sensitive commitments based solely on an estimated completion time.

16. Right to Refuse or Stop Service

Tin’s Garage may refuse, suspend, or stop work when:

  • The vehicle or location is unsafe

  • Required electricity or access is unavailable

  • The customer has provided materially inaccurate information

  • Biohazards, pests, chemicals, needles, bodily fluids, mold, or dangerous materials are discovered

  • The requested procedure may cause unreasonable damage

  • The customer requests unlawful or unsafe work

  • The customer or another person behaves abusively, threateningly, or inappropriately

  • Payment or authorization cannot be confirmed

  • Circumstances outside our reasonable control prevent completion

If work has already begun, the customer remains responsible for authorized services reasonably completed before the service was stopped.

17. Payment

Payment is due immediately upon completion of the service unless Tin’s Garage agrees otherwise in writing before work begins.

Accepted payment methods are:

  • Cash

  • Zelle

The customer is responsible for ensuring that payment is successfully completed.

A payment is not considered completed until Tin’s Garage has received the full amount due.

Customers should verify that they are sending payment to the correct recipient information provided directly by Tin’s Garage. Tin’s Garage is not responsible for a payment sent to an incorrect person, telephone number, email address, or account because of customer error.

18. Cancellations, Rescheduling, and Refunds

Appointment cancellations, rescheduling, missed appointments, service credits, and refunds are governed by our separate Cancellation & Refund Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms.

Nothing in these Terms limits any cancellation, refund, or consumer right that cannot legally be waived.

19. Service Concerns

Customers are encouraged to inspect the vehicle when the service is completed.

Any concern regarding the quality of the service, a missed area, or possible service-related damage should be reported as soon as reasonably possible and preferably within 48 hours after completion.

Reports should include:

  • The customer’s name

  • Appointment date

  • Vehicle information

  • A clear description of the concern

  • Photographs or videos where appropriate

Reporting a concern after the vehicle has been driven, washed, exposed to weather, used by other persons, or serviced by another company may make the concern more difficult to evaluate.

Tin’s Garage must be given a reasonable opportunity to inspect and, where appropriate, correct a verified service issue before a refund, credit, or other resolution is considered.

The 48-hour reporting request does not eliminate any right or remedy that cannot legally be restricted.

20. Photographs and Videos

Tin’s Garage may take photographs or videos for:

  • Documenting pre-existing vehicle condition

  • Preparing or supporting an estimate

  • Recording work performed

  • Quality control

  • Service records

  • Addressing customer concerns

  • Insurance or legal documentation

Use of vehicle photographs or videos for public marketing, social media, advertising, or portfolio purposes requires the customer’s authorization through the booking form, service authorization, or another clear form of consent.

When authorized content is used publicly, Tin’s Garage will take reasonable steps to conceal readable license plates and visible personal information.

Declining marketing authorization will not prevent a customer from purchasing services.

21. Customer Communications

By providing a telephone number or email address, the customer authorizes Tin’s Garage to send non-promotional communications reasonably related to:

  • Quotes

  • Appointments

  • Confirmations

  • Arrival times

  • Service questions

  • Vehicle condition

  • Payment

  • Follow-up

  • Service concerns

Consent to receive appointment-related communications is separate from consent to receive future promotional emails or marketing text messages.

22. Website and Third-Party Platforms

Our website may contain information about services, prices, availability, photographs, promotions, and estimated results.

We make reasonable efforts to keep this information accurate, but website content may contain errors or become outdated. The service scope and price specifically approved for the customer’s appointment will control over general website content.

Our website may use or link to third-party services, including Wix, Calendly, Google, social-media platforms, and communication providers.

Tin’s Garage does not control third-party platforms and is not responsible for their availability, security, content, policies, or independent actions.

23. Responsibility for Loss or Damage

Tin’s Garage is responsible for direct physical damage to a customer’s vehicle or property when the damage is proven to have resulted from our failure to exercise reasonable care while performing an authorized service.

Tin’s Garage is not responsible for:

  • Pre-existing damage

  • Normal wear or deterioration

  • Hidden defects

  • Defective materials

  • Loose or improperly installed components

  • Undisclosed repairs or modifications

  • Damage caused by inaccurate customer information

  • Customer belongings that should have been removed

  • Damage occurring before we obtain possession or after the vehicle is returned

  • Damage caused by another person, business, weather event, animal, or environmental condition

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tin’s Garage is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses that are not the direct result of physical damage caused by our failure to exercise reasonable care.

Nothing in these Terms releases or limits responsibility for fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, or any other responsibility that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

24. Resolution of Disputes

Customers should first contact Tin’s Garage directly and provide a reasonable opportunity to investigate and resolve any concern.

Before commencing formal legal proceedings, the parties agree to make a good-faith effort to resolve the dispute through direct written communication.

These Terms and any dispute arising from them or from Tin’s Garage’s services will be governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Subject to any law requiring otherwise, a legal proceeding may be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction located in Alameda County, California.

Either party may bring an eligible claim in small claims court.

Nothing in this section waives a customer’s nonwaivable rights or requires mandatory arbitration.

25. Changes to These Terms

Tin’s Garage may update these Terms to reflect changes in our services, business practices, website, or legal obligations.

Revised Terms will be posted with an updated effective date. Changes apply prospectively and will not retroactively alter the agreed terms of a completed service unless required by law.

26. Severability

If a provision of these Terms is determined to be unlawful, invalid, or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted or removed, while the remaining provisions will continue in effect.

27. No Waiver

A failure by Tin’s Garage to enforce a provision on one occasion does not waive the right to enforce it later.

28. Entire Agreement

These Terms, the approved quote or service authorization, the Privacy Policy, and the Cancellation & Refund Policy constitute the agreement between the customer and Tin’s Garage regarding the applicable service.

If a written service authorization contains a specific term that conflicts with these general Terms, the specifically approved service authorization will control for that appointment.
